I painted the station wagon in Chicago in the fall of 1988. Kelly Butler assisted.

The car in the front was a commission. A friend of Kelly's, named Lynette, asked me to paint her little Datsun. Kelly and Lynette did the first layer prep and I did the top colors. Lynette paid me a bottle of whiskey for the work.

It was nice to see both cars driving around the neighborhood until Lynette moved to Los Angeles.
