UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT WORK
I received a four year tuition scholarship for art at Northern Illinois University. I majored in Painting and Drawing and had the equivalent of a minor in Printmaking. I was bored with the course requirements so I started taking two or three overload classes per semester. I was also eager to get into the upper level courses, which I hoped were more challenging. Because of the extra courses, I was nearly finished by the end of my junior year so I took the GRE and applied for grad school at NIU. I was accepted and took grad level painting and before I finished my undergrad requirements. I finished my BFA in the fall of my senior year and in the spring I was enrolled as a graduate student at NIU. |
